+
+A **workflow definition** is the graph the Elsa engine executes. Definitions are
+versioned and can be published independently of the running app.
+
+## Version scopes
+

+| Draft | Only unpublished versions |
+| All versions | Every stored version |
+
+## Import / export
+
+Definitions can be exported as JSON and re-imported through **Import** on the
+Elsa Flows page. The JSON is the same document the engine stores, so an export
+from one tenant can be imported into another.
